Cheap Cupcake Stands to buy.

Updated on November 24, 2011

Everybody is looking for cheap cupcake stands to buy. Cupcakes have become very popular over the last few years for several reasons. For one, cupcakes are much easier to bake and decorate than cakes are. This is a huge plus when you have lots of birthday parties and gatherings that require baking. Cupcake stands now add presentation to your cupcakes and allow them to be the centerpiece of the party. They come in several different shapes and sizes that allow you to get exactly what you need for the event that you're planning. Having a cupcake stand on hand in your home will be a huge time and money saver. There are so many things you can do with it, and it is certainly nice to be able to throw together an elegant set of fresh baked cupcakes in just a couple of hours.

Wire Cupcake Stands - By Avon

While these look really cool, they are designed to hold a specific number of cupcakes. If you need more cupcakes than your stand will hold, you'll need to get something else or buy a couple of them. They are fairly inexpensive and look really nice. They start at around $12 and around $20 for really nice ones. There is a noticable difference between the $12 ones and the $20 and up wire stands. A row of cupcakes on the table at the base of your stand also looks nice and it gives your stand the illusion that it is bigger than it really is. This particular style of stand can be purchased through Avon.

Flat Tier Cupcake Stands - Elegant but pricey

These are the most universal and versatile style of stands out there. They come in 3, 4, and 5 tiers, and have a flat surface on each tier. Since the tiers are flat, they are flexible in the number of cupcakes they can hold. You can load them full, or fill the empty space with decorations. This is a very nice cupcake stand, but you will pay for it. Flat stands that aren't made of cardboard start at around $40.

Styrofoam Cupcake Stands

This type of cupcake stand is very affordable starting out around $8 and very brittle. If you are very careful with it, this type of cupcake holder should last you a few parties.

Cupcake Stand Uses - There are several different uses for your cupcake stand so don't let it set in your cabinet.

Muffins The spots on your stand are the perfect size for all mini cakes and muffins. To add a little personality, tie a ribbon around the frame next to each of your cupcakes. Red and Green for Christmas. Red, white and blue for the 4th of July, Orange and black for Halloween.

Party favors Place party favors or small gift bags in the cupcake holders. Ribbons or ballons can be add for a little extra decoration.

Party cups Empty paper cupcake liners can be filled with nuts or mints for weddings and baby showers.
